Steve Cox  -  Managing Director

Steve served his apprenticeship at South Shield Marine College, while working for Fred Olsen, he then spent a short time in the Inspection industry working for the Gas and Oil industry before moving on to being a Superintendent for Yorkshire Water looking after Water and Sewage Treatment.  He became the Managing Director for Gatley Fluid Power back in 2003, Steve has an extensive amount of technical expertise with engineering projects and given technical consultations to many customers in the field. Rest assured that any enquiries from either a simple quote to a complex pneumatic installation can be easily applied with his technical problem solving knowledge.

Geoff Roy - Director

Geoff is Sheffield Born and Bred, he served as an apprenticeship at Sheffield Corporation Printing Department. Geoff moved into the pneumatics industry in 1979 with employment with IMI Norgren  in Sheffield, having 20 years service from stores to Branch Manager.  Geoff has gained considerable knowledge in many aspects of the business.  He is well liked and highly regarded, his down to earth and straight forward style of business will ensure you get the best service possible.

Justine Sanford - Financial Director

Justine started working in the pneumatic industry in 1990 as a sales co-ordinator for IMI Norgren, progressing to Branch Manager of the Leicester branch five years later.  She then joined the UK's biggest SMC distributor where she was formally trained in basic and electro/pneumatics.  Relocating to Sheffield she spent a short amount of time at Economatics before joining Gatley in 2001 as a Sales Co-ordinator and subsequently became a director in 2003. Although her position in the company is largely based on running the financial side these days, she still takes an active role in the general sales of the business.

Helen Pennington – Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator

Helen worked for a cutting tool manufacturer in a Sales/Administration role, before joining IMI Norgren in Sheffield as internal Sales Co-ordinator, Helen went on to work for the NHS before joining Gatley in 2015, she has a self motivated flair which she will use to promote the company as well as the website, special offers, campaigns, and newsletters, her aim is to build even better relations with our customers through marketing the quality service that we provide.

Lorraine Barthorpe – Warehouse/Sales Administrator

Lorraine was a Qualified Materials Cutter in the fashion industry before going on to work for a sports centre, where her duties ranged from reception and administration to general accounts. Lorraine joined Gatley in 2004, she is very well organized and undertakes various duties including trade counter sales, warehouse delivery/despatch, order progressing, as well as assisting with general sales.

Steve Marshall – Sales Engineer

Steve served an Engineering Apprenticeship at a major Sheffield Steelworks and now has over 30 years experience  in various fields of engineering, including machining, high speed production equipment, Service, Project and Applications Engineering. Leading to Technical Sales roles including working for a German process valve manufacturer.  Steve Joined Gatley in 2010 where he continues to provide sound technical support and problem solving assistance.


Richard Jennings - Technical Sales Co-ordinator

Richard started his career with a manufacturer of anti corrosion equipment, he then moved into sales where he soon became Office Manager.  Richard moved on to join Air Accessories where he gained vast experience in Bosch Rexroth pneumatic components and profile systems, before joining Gatley in 2014.  Richard has first hand technical experience and a sound working knowledge of all the major manufacturers that Gatley supply, if in doubt give Richard a shout.

In 2008 Gatley relocated to its current office in Sheffield, which includes an extensively stocked warehouse and trade counter.  Gatley supplies many industries including the food, petrochemical, glass and steel plants, as well as many local firms.  A very high quality service is offered to all customers and our sales team and engineers can also provide advice and technical support.
